Today we get a first look at the Cubot R9, the Chinese phone maker’s upcoming budget phone. As we can see in the photo below the R9 sports a full metal body and a fingerprint scanner on the back.

Cubot also revealed some additional info about this premium — at least in the looks — phone. The Cubot R9 is going to be powered by a MediaTek 6580 quad-core CPU clocked at 1.3Ghz, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage (expandable up to 256GB).
The handset is on the smaller side sporting a 5.0-inch IPS display and HD resolution. Camera wise we find a 13MP rear facing camera and a 5MP selfie shooter on the front, both accompanied by LED flashes.
The Cubot R9 will be fueled by a 2600mAh battery, support Dual SIM dual Standby and run Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. No info on potential pricing yet.
