OnePlus announce referral program ahead of next launch

OnePlus are in preparation for their next phone, the OnePlus 5, but something new just popped up on the official site earlier this week.

What we’re talking about is a referral program, wherein an existing buyer (of any OnePlus phone purchased from their official site) will be able to refer other buyers. Buyers will be given a referral code that they can use to bring others into the scheme of things.

Both parties (the referrer and the referred) get to enjoy benefits. This includes a $20 discount (on accessories) for the referred buyer while the referrer gets points that can be exchanged for OnePlus products.

OnePlus have been rather experimentative with their planning and strategy. The company started with the invite-code based sale with the OnePlus One and 2, and now a referral program.
