During a special event held today at Computex in Taipei, Asus launched a new ZenPad series tablet, aimed at the mid-range market. It’s called ZenPad 3S 8.0 and comes with interesting features that could help it stand out from the rest.
The Asus ZenPad 3S 8.0 comes with model number Z582KL and is equipped with a Snapdragon 652 SoC along with 3 or 4GB of RAM (there are two variants). It offers 32GB or 64GB of internal storage (a significant storage boost when compared to the previous model which offered only 16/32GB options).
Gizchina News of the week
It comes with a 7.9 inch display (1536 x 2048 pixels), a 13MP main camera on its back and a 5MP selfie shooter in front. The mid-range tablet runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat, boasts a fully aluminum body and a mere 6.9mm of thickness.
There’s no info on its price or availability, but we’ll make sure to find something just for you.
nice to see that the tablet market isn’t completely dead
They are doing their darndest to kill it though with lack of updates and inclusion of bloatware.
There isn’t ‘tablet market’, just a kind of smartphone. And there are more big size smartphones than small ones (under 5′)

I have the previous model and it’s got 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. Never got updated by Asus though. Okay just once. Good luck with the new model getting updates.
