Remember the days when a non-removable battery was a… revelation? It’s now pretty much the standard, and phones with removable batteries are the exception.
One such device is the upcoming ZTE Z839. It’s going to be a fairly entry-level phone, so don’t get too excited unless that’s what you’re looking for.
The Z839 was spotted at the FCC, meaning it’s nearing its US launch and could be parked on the shelves any day now. Anyway, besides a removable battery, the Z839 will feature expectedly an entry-level Snapdragon SoC, and up to 2GB of RAM.

The Z839 was also approved by the WFA (WiFi Alliance) back in April. All of this only signals that the launch is around the corner, and if you’re looking for a budget phone and prefer the ZTE brand, you may end up fine waiting a bit for this one to come out.
