Quite popular nowadays thanks to their action cameras, Yi technology plans to further expand its portfolio of products soon, by launching Yi 360 VR Camera, aimed towards those who love virtual reality with a… twist of extreme sports!
According to sources, the specific product is expected to launch on June 1 (tomorrow, yes) and it’s going to be the same as the one listed on the company’s website for pre-order, giving us an idea on how it’s going to look.

The same sources suggest that the Yi 360 VR Camera willbe equipped with dual lenses (just like most 360 degree cameras), with a maximum of 220 degree wide angle FOV (Field of View). Both cameras will be equipped with a 12MP Sony IMX377 sensor and f/2.0 aperture. The Yi 360 VR Camera comes Google Street View Ready, offers WiFi support, a 1400 mAh battery and a microphone enabling us to livestream 360 degree videos! It also comes with USB Type-C port, Bluetooth 4.2 compatibility and a microSD slot of course.
We expect it to launch officialy tomorrow at a price of 2499 Yuan (~$364) approximately.
