I guess that’s the current trend of our time, and Xiaomi is to “blame” for it, don’t you think? The full display smartphone frenzy began after all with the Mi MIX flagship and now almost every company in the world is trying to develop similar phones! LG and Samsung have their own models (G6 and S8/S8 Plus respectively), and Apple is rumored to be working on a truly bezel less iPhone 8 model. Not to mention at least 5 smaller OEMs (like Doogee, Bluboo, Elephone) making their own efforts on this project. In keeping with this emerging trend some new rumors insist that the upcoming Xiaomi Redmi Pro 2 model will boast a full display design!
Gizchina News of the week
The not yet announced model is said to use a display by Tianma company, that was recently showcased at Computex in Taipei and proved to be really impressive, with 18:9 aspect ratio, just 0.5mm bezel at the sides while the bottom bezel is about 1.8mm! The device is expected to be equipped with a Snapdragon 660 SoC, along with 6GB RAM and 64GB of storage. The device is expected with a 5.1-inch 1080p display and a 12MPixel main camera at the rear.
Obviously all of the above are just rumors at this time and surely where there’s smoke, there’s also fire…
