So far the update is valid for the 3GB RAM Mi Max models so all the Xiaomi Mi Max Prime owners with 4GB RAM/128GB ROM will have to wait a bit longer as it seems. The update brings the phone to global MIUI 8.5.1.0 ROM, so this does not apply to devices with China ROM.

After the launch of the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 model, its predecessor may be outdated a bit, but still it remains a decent candidate for anyone who’s looking for an affordable phablet with 3GB of RAM and a 4K capable camera.
