Vivo X9s and X9s Plus officially announced with dual front cameras


I guess this comes as no surprise. After all we had already informed you about it during the previous days, so today’s official announcement of the Vivo X9s and X9s Plus models was expected.

Vivo X9s

The two devices are the company’s most recent flagship smartphones and the successors of last year’s  X9 and X9 Plus models. Both of them have a 20-megapixel front-facing camera along with a 5-megapixel camera for capturing depth information when shooting selfies. According to their official specs, their main cameras can be adjusted from f/0.95 to f/16 equivalent aperture. The two phones also boast a 16-megapixel front camera each, but only the larger X9s Plus (with its RK1608 DSP) can process RAW captures.

As you see, the smaller X9s comes with a 5.5-inch 1080p AMOLED screen and it’s equipped with an Octa-Core Snapdragon 652 SoC, while the X9s Plus has a 5.85-inch 1080p AMOLED screen and uses a Snapdragon 653 chipset. Both phones come with 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage and fingerprint sensors embedded into their home buttons.

The Vivo X9s and Vivo X9s Plus will be priced at 2698 yuan (US$ 396) and 2998 yuan (US$ 440) respectively and they will be available in 3 colors: Matte Black, Gold and Rose Gold.
