As we’ve learned a few days back, Chinese company MGCOOL are currently working on their next budget action cam named MGCOOL Explorer 2C. The upcoming camera is going to feature some innovative hardware just like the previously launched Explorer Pro with Sharkeye lens technology.
And it’s in the lens as well where the new camera will see some improving, as MGCOOL let us know some info straight out of the production line. They indeed say the Explorer 2C will be featuring a 7 elements HD lens instead of the conventional 6. This change is supposed to bring a much better image quality into the camera.
From what read the 7 elements lens should provide a better light transmittance and clearer images, the lens will also help with color correction and sharpness. Additionally it’ll be filtering out unwanted ultraviolet and infrared lights. So, what in theory appears to be a really small change, should actually allow you to grab much better looking videos and photos.

The MGCOOL Explorer 2C will be launched in a few days and you’ll be able to purchase one on Gearbest or Banggood. MGCOOL also confirms they’ll be selling the camera in flash sales in order to gather more attention.
