Just a few days after the resignation of Andy Fouché, Head of Communications of Essential Co, another member of the company that announced the PH-1 model left. This time it was VP of marketing, Brian Wallace who was forced to leave after failing to fulfil the company’s promise to send the Essential PH-1 by the end of June.

In case you missed it, the Essential Phone (or PH-1) was announced on May 30, with a shipping date promised for a month after that. Well, we’re two weeks past the deadline and the Phone’s nowhere to be seen. The company of Andy Rubin (father of Android OS), doesn’t seem to have financial issues at this time (they have more than $300 million as capital thanks to Rubin) but still they are struggling to prepare their first smartphone for shipping to those who preordered it.
Let’s see if the new VP of Marketing makes things better…
