A smaller LG V20 was unveiled earlier today by the Korean manufacturer, that goes under model number LG Q8. The new device looks a lot like last year’s flagship model up to its second display and dual rear camera, but it comes with a smaller 5.2 inch QHD display with a Quantum IPS panel – the same used on all LG flagships. It offers an impressive brightness of 500 nits along with a Gorilla Glass 4 protection that will surely be enough for your everyday use.
The LG Q8 is equipped with a Snapdragon 820 SoC, has a metal body with IP67 certification, QUAD Dac, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of storage along with microSD slot. It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat and inside packs a 3000mAh battery which is non-removable as you can easily understand. It retains the secondary camera of the LG V20 model: you will find it placed on the top side, next to the front facing selfie camera, with a resolution of 160 x 1,040 pixels, especially made for notifications.

On its back, you will find a dual camera setup with a 13MP sensor (1/2.6”, 1.12µm, f/1.8) plus a wide-angle lens (135°/10mm, f/2.4) in front of an 8MP sensor (1/4”, 1.12µm). The selfie camera we mentioned earlier had a resolution of 5MP, wide angle view of 120 degrees and can record up to 1080p selfie videos.
The LG Q8 is expected to launch by the end of this month, but we have no idea yet its price tag. We’ll let you know of course when this happens. 😉
