Of all the things that we suggest you do not try with your Android phone, boiling them in water has to be right up there!
Chinese phone makers have a long history of running extreme torture tests to show how tough their phones can be. Over the years we have seen phones hit nails into wood, fall out of office windows and even be set on fire, but this is the first time we’ve seen a phone boiled in water!
NOMU decided that an appropriate method of showing just how tough the NOMU S30 mini really is was to place it in a pan of boiling water for a minute and see what would happen.
We’re not sure what they were trying to prove with the video, as the phone was already certified IP68 which covers dust and water, and we don’t know how often people accidentally drop their phones in boiling pans of liquid.
