Meizu may have been unable to garner Xiaomi-esque sales number in the recent past, but the company certainly knows how to keep fans and tech heads interested.
The next-in-line flagship from the Chinese company is the Pro 7, which has been in the news since the past few months. What’s special about the Pro 7 is that it’s supposed to feature a couple of screens, one on either side of the phone body.
One interesting application of this technology is that the main camera can be used to take selfies.
Gizchina News of the week
Meizu Senior VP Jeffery Yang just shared a picture of this upcoming phone, giving a clear glimpse at the second screen of the Pro 7. Have a look right here.
The Meizu Pro 7 is expected to come in Black, Gold and Red colour variants, with a MediaTek Helio X30 processor, 5.2-inch 1080p display and dual rear cameras. The phone will launch on the 26th of July — which means it’s only 2 days away from being announced, coincidentally on the same day as the Xiaomi Mi 5X.
Im more curious about the x30 performance, that second display i bet will add little to no functionality but consumers will be charged premium for it
What is “BREAKING” here? Every day news about this uninteresting and frankly ugly phone.
I had Meizu Mx5, I enjoy with it and it was innovation device with m-back button. but I will swtich to xiaomi as pro 7 is ugly and not innovation device.
I for my self had MX4 which was a very nice device, but often with buggy software. Also Meizu treats their customers like trash, if someone would like to try Ubuntu for instance he would have to buy separate mx4. Also i bought an international version that was supposed to be unlocked but that never happened.
Flyme is nice but buggy too much, I hope if they will improve the quality of the product and support IP68, my Mx5 got screen broken from first drop, while S7 edge is still as rock as solid, I hope xiaomi is good quality as Samsung.
