Dual cameras are the fad of the season, and no maker — big or small — wants to miss out on the fun.
Xiaomi may recently have announced the Mi 6 — which in itself is a rather nice phone, by the way — but the Chinese phonemaker still seems keen on more dual camera phones. It’s perhaps a litmus test to see how the market reacts, since the Mi 5X will arguably be more affordable than the Mi 6… the nomenclature, for one, suggests so.
Xiaomi seem to be going after OnePlus (the 5 in specific) among other ‘budget flagship’ phones with the Mi 5X. Xiaomi are known to refresh their existing flagship lines with newer iterations; the Mi 2S, Mi 2A, Mi 4i were some examples.

Coming back the Mi 5X, Xiaomi have put together a video giving us a comprehensive look at the phone. Notice the emphasis on the dual rear camera too. The video also tells us what color options the Mi 5X will be available in.
The Mi 5X is all set to unveil this 26th with a Snapdragon 625 processor (Xiaomi’s favourite?), 4GB RAM and a 5.5-inch screen.
