Lenovo teases us with #killernote mystery device

I guess we should be preparing ourselves for a new member of the Lenovo Note family, especially if we are to believe what this official teaser from the company hints.

The hashtagĀ #KillerNote appeared recently on the Indian Facebook account of Lenovo Mobile and their most recent post mentins that “ordinary performanceā€ will be a thing of the past.

Gizchina News of the week

According to rumors, the Chinese company is preparing to launch their Lenovo K7 Note model, which will aim for the mid-range market, possibly equipped with a Snapdragon 652 SoC or – even better- with a Helio X20 SoC (but I wouldn’t have my hopes high on the latter), especially for a K-Series model.

In case you’re interested, Lenovo India has launched a contest today under the name #MyNeedForSpeed and according to officials, it will award a K7 Note to one lucky winner. That winner will be unveiled a week from now, so we can expect the upcoming “Note” model to appear soon, in the coming days obviously.

Nothing against mediatek, but I’d definitely prefer the SD 652 over the x20. My guess is it will be the SD 630 or Helio p25

I’ll keep an eye on this. I found my K3 Note to a be an excellent device and might head back to Lenovo for my next unit.

K3 Note was the last Lenovo Note of any significance. After this Lenovo steady lost ground to Xiaomi at least in Indian market, because of just so so K5, K6. Now in Note segment they r just a bit player. Unless Lenovo comes up with real Killer specs with K7 Note, which i doubt, taking their past 2 years record, they could just be employing Hot Boasts to try to sell another Lenovo Lemon.

Lenovo needs to up the ante, if it wishes to compete with Xiaomi Note 4. Better Camera , better audio, and SD 630 will be minimum prerequisites. At present all Indians perciece Xiaomi Note 4 as THE PHONE in low mid sphere.

X20 being better than the SD652? No way…
SD 652 is still one of the best midrange chipsets, now to be followed by the SD 660.

HEY LENOVO—you LISTENING??? Stop with all these products and do ONE THING RIGHT. Launch the Tab 4 8 Plus already, we’ve been waiting for months!!! If you can’t do this one simple thing, why should I believe you can do anything else well? The Tab 4 8 Plus product manager should be replaced.
