At MGCOOL employees never sleep as they have come out with yet another action camera to add to their roster, it’s the “next generation” MGCOOL Explorer 2C which comes with a new useful addition and improved video quality. Let’s have a closer look!
The new MGCOOL Explorer 2C will be equipped with a 2-inch display on the back, which should make it much more user friendly. They also added spot metering that you’ll probably only use if you’re a camera geek.
But improvements didn’t stop there, MGCOOL also packed the Explorer 2C with their 7G sharp lens made of 7 layers of glass. The new lens will increase light intake and avoid glares. So you’re going to get overall better videos, even more so in low light situations.
The MGCOOL Explorer 2C can shoot photos at up to 20MP and record 4K videos at 24fps (with H.264 codec), this is thanks to the Sony IMX078 image sensor we find inside, powered by a Novatek NT96660 processor.

The camera also features motion detection, a gyroscope, night scene, portrait and light painting modes. The Explorer 2C is fueled by a 1050mAh battery which can deliver about 80m minutes of Full HD video recording. The action cam will charge up in less than two hours with the included 5V/1A power adapter and it’s waterproof up 30 meters underwater with the included case.
The MGCOOL Explorer 2C will be available next month for about $149.99 on different stores such as Gearbest, Banggood and Geekbuying in Black and Orange color variants. Learn more about it on the official website.
