Octa-curve is a new term that we coined here at GizChina to describe phones like the recently launched Cubot Magic. More details below.
We’ve all seen phones with 2.5D displays, you know the phones, the ones with a slightly curved edge to the screens. And we’ve all seen smartphones with a ‘3D curved’ display, those are the phones like the (excellent) Vivo Play 6 with and (not so excellent) Xiaomi Mi Note 2, so what does an octa-curve phone look like?
The Cubot Magic is one of the first affordable phones that we’ve seen to launch with sexy curves along each edge to the phone. On the display, the handset boasts curves top, bottom, right and left, while the rear of the phone matches the aesthetic.
Interestingly though, this smartphone won’t cost you upwards of $600 instead it will go on wide release at just $89.99!
