This isn’t strange I guess, especially if we take into account that HTC U11 sales have been very good during the past months and the company is happy with the results. It seems now that the Taiwanese manufacturer is working on a smaller 5.2” variant that will go under the name HTC U11 Life (code named Ocean Life).
Gizchina News of the week
Following the footsteps of its older brother, the upcoming model will be IP67 certified, so it will be waterproof and resistant to humidity, dust etc. It will use a USB Type-C port instead of a 3.5mm audio jack, but it will be equipped with a pair of USonic headphones with noise cancellation in the box, along with full Bluetooth 5.0 compatibility.
The mid-range model will be equipped with a Snapdragon 630 SoC, along with a 5.2 full HD display with 32GB of storage (with microSD slot) and probably 3GB of RAM. It will retain the 16MP selfie camera of the U11 flagship, but it will use a 16MP main camera on its back, along with Edge Sense compatibility.
No word yet on its launch date, so we wait…
