It appears as Uhans isn’t done with “taking inspiration” from other phone manufacturer and — after the launch of the Redmi-clone Uhans Note4 — the company is now working on the cheaper alternative of the beautiful Samsung S8. Will they be up to the task? Well, we can’t say that for certain until we have the device in our hands, so before that day comes, let’s check out the introductory video of this device, namely called Uhans i8.
Gizchina News of the week
We have to admit that it doesn’t look too much like a Samsung S8 if it weren’t for the display’s 18:9 aspect ratio. But that seems to be the trend of the moment so we can’t really blame them. The Uhans i8 appears to be fully covered in 2.5D glass with curved sides to make it more ergonomic, the front glass is also fully laminated so the display will have a sleeker look.
Other info we get from the video is that the smartphone will be featuring an USB Type-C port at the bottom, thankfully. Sadly that also means there’s no dedicated 3.5mm headphone jack.
In conclusion, the Uhans i8 seem to have taken inspiration from the Samsung S8, but doesn’t look too similar after all. If they manage to keep bezels slim and prices low, then this might be a great hit. What do you guys think about it? Let us know in the comments below!
You’ll find more info about the phone when available on the Uhans’ official website.
