Xiaomi kept its promise and a couple of minutes ago unveiled the Redmi Note 5A model, aimed at the budget/mid-range segment of the market. The newest member of the Redmi Note family comes with an impressive design and uses the same three-staged metal design most Redmi series models boast, along with a symmetrical border layout at the rear. It weighs 153 grams and its dimensions are just 153 x 76.2 x 7.7 mm.
The device relies on the 2.5D design on its glass to offer improved durability, and comes in 3 color variations: Champagne gold, Rose gold and Platinum silver. Recent rumors were true regarding the technical specs of the Redmi Note 5A model so we already know that it comes with a Snapdragon 435 SoC, packs a 5,5 inch HD display, runs on Android 7.1.1 and comes with MIUI 9 preinstalled, so you won’t have to wait for an update.
