The Meizu M6 Note has finally been unveiled today in China, and has become the first Meizu device to sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset. Rumors were rife that the M6 Note will sport the P25, which was then contradicted by the report from two days ago that put the processor as Qualcomm manufactured. Let’s take a look at what the M6 Note has to offer.
Design
The Meizu M6 Note follows much of the design philosophy as its predecessors. There’s no bezel-less display but rather a traditional one. The front features the fingerprint scanner that doubles as the home button. Meizu says that the fingerprint scanner can unlock the device in a mere 0.2 seconds. The M6 Note comes in a peculiar shade of blue, called as the Charm Blue (remember the Really Blue Google Pixel?). On the back lies the dual camera setup with the Meizu E2 style quad-LED placed above them. The phone is made of metal with curves on the sides.
Specifications
The Meizu M6 Note is equipped with a 5.5 inch display with a resolution of 1080p. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 clocked at 2.0GHz and fueled by a 4,000mAh battery which supports mCharge 18W fast charging. It is available in three memory configurations, 3GB/16GB, 3GB/32GB and 4GB/64GB.
Gizchina News of the week
The camera department is where the M6 Note shines the most. The rear dual camera setup is a combination of a 12MP Sony IMX362 f/1.9 sensor coupled with a Samsung 2L7 5MP sensor for that bokeh effect. The setup is equipped with Dual Phase detection, with focussing time being as less as 0.03s. A few samples clicked by two professional photographers who used the M6 Note can be seen in the gallery.
Pricing
Available in three variants and four colours, Moonlight Silver, Champagne Gold, Charm Blue and Obsidian Black, the Meizu M6 Note is priced at 1099 Yuan($165) for the 3GB/16GB variant, 1299 Yuan($195) for the 3GB/32GB variant and 1699 Yuan($255) for the 4GB/64GB variant. It’ll be available for grabs on Meizu Mall, TMall, JD.com, Suning and other online stores, from September 1, with offline sales starting on the September 2.
