Elephone Allegedly Working on a Curved Display Phone with SD 835

Elephone

Elephone are apparently working on a new phone that will be featuring a dual curved flexible display. This would be real second smartphone after the Samsung S8 sporting this design and using an 18:9 display aspect ratio.

Elephone

According to these “rumors” from Chinese social site Weibo, the smartphone will come with a big 5.99-inch display, so it’ll be kind of in the middle between the Samsung S8 and the Samsung S8 Plus.

Gizchina News of the week

But here comes the surprise, the Elephone device is allegedly going to equip the best Qualcomm CPU on the market, a.k.a. the Snapdragon 835. Making it the 9th smartphone boasting this processor after the Sony XZ Premium, Xiaomi 6, Oneplus 5, Nubia Z17, Samsung Galaxy S8, Essential Phone PH-1, HTC U11 and LG V30.

Elephone

Always according to the same rumors, the smartphone will be priced just $399.99, so around half the price of a Samsung S8 Plus. We’ll have to wait and see if these rumors are to be confirmed, if that so it’d be a great step forward for Elephone.

In actuality it will be a normal display with a Helio P20 or something similar. We have seen this before from Elephone, promising the world and then not delivering.

They will say “Due to increasing fan demand we used the P20 instead!”.

Sure, we are all believing it’s the SD835 😀
it will be the X27 at maximum or, more likely, the usual P20-something, I wonder what’s in their minds when they plan this marketing strategies, maybe something like:

A: “we have a phone with helio P20-P25, what should we do to make it interesting?”
B: “Let’s say we’ll use SD835, so people will be curious at the beginning, then totally mad at us when we tell we lied to them and we’ll use the shitty MTK SoC instead”
A: “Good Idea! so maybe this way they will hate us even more and maybe this can help our sales somehow””
B:”Yes, absolutely! People love to have their expectations destroyed and feel cheated, we’ll sell million of those model this time, you’ll see!”

Why someone will bias the news and more of it, it’s a rumour post let’s wait for the official news. I believe Elephone can surprise anytime. I am still using my Elephone S7 without a single problem.

we had enough of your rumors, hope you understand it. It’s not “it’s only a rumor”, everytime it’s “only a rumor” and people now are fed up with this shit.
Since you look 100% like an Elephone’s employee, maybe you can help us into telling them to cut this bullshit out once and for all.

In fact, I think ELEPHONE has the ability to use snapdragon now, and this brand is trying to enter the high-end market, then Snapdragon is their only choice. If it’s true, I think this is a good start for ELEPHONE to change. This brand still has many problems such as customer service, software update. Personally, I use S7 now, after the latest update, this system solved many bugs in the first version of android 7.1. I think this is the first step to make progress. Then, I am optimistic for this brand at lease now.
