Huawei is one more company (after Sony and Nokia) that confirms the upcoming release of the Android 8 Oreo update for selected models, like the Honor 8 Pro and Honor 6X devices.

This info comes from an XDA member who along with several others met company officials in India recently. During the meeting, Huawei officials confirmed also the time frames for the scheduled updates:
- the Honor 8 Pro will get the update by December 2017
- the Honor 6X by January 2018.
Better late, than never Huawei.
