Xiaomi just launched the Xiaomi Mi Band HRX Edition in India and it surely looks like a decent upgrade over the “older” Mi Band 2 model I guess.
The highly successful fitness tracker was launched in cooperation with HRX by Hrithik Roshan, one of the most famous actors in India. The device offers better tracking algorithm for more accurate monitoring of activities and improved battery life.
Gizchina News of the week
Xiaomi suggests that the new Mi Band 2 HRX Edition provides up to 23 days of stand by time (that’s 10% improvement when compared to the Mi Band 2) but note that it doesn’t include a heart rate sensor on the inside like the regular model.
It’s other specs remain the same more or less, so you can expect a 0.42” OLED screen with scratch-resistant glass, a pedometer, along with all the sensors used to monitor fitness and track sleep. It is IP67-rated and connects through Bluetooth 4.0 but it remains light – only 7g, without the rubber strap.
It’s available in India for a mere INR1,299 ($20) and we can’t wait to see if it will become available in other markets as well.
