It seems that we’re in for some huge news tomorrow – at least that what most rumors at this time suggest. China Times insist that the trading of HTC’s stocks has been suspended for tomorrow pending a major announcement.
The publication adds that sources from HTC’s HQ in Taiwan have seen people swarming in the place, preparing for something big tomorrow – the second floor is filled with chairs and screens.
It’s been several weeks now that according to rumors, Google plans to acquire part of HTC’s smartphone department along with their R&D infrastructure, leaving the Taiwanese company to deal with their successful Vive VR headset technology.

This will not be the first time that Google has owned an Android phone maker – we all remember Motorola. It remains to be seen if this time the search giant will be more assertive and try to push the Pixel brand to the mass market rather than try to appease other Android makers.
