Well this looks like a good plot twist, don’t you think? According to well known leakster Evan Blass (a.k.a @evleaks), the most awaited quad camera Maimang 6 model from Huawei is expected to arrive in the market bearing the name Huawei Mate 10 Lite.
This is truly a shift in Huawei’s strategy as the previous Maimang 5 model was launched as Huawei G9 Plus, but this time things are not that simple, as the new Maimang 6 model is not just an upgrade of the old one, but a whole new device: it has four cameras in total, and it will be the first Huawei phone with an 18:9 display and near bezel-less front.

It will pack 2 main cameras on its back (16 MP + 2 MP) and 13 MP + 2 MP on the front. Although it will be announced as Maimang 6 in just a couple of days, it will only be made official as the Mate 10 Lite for international markets at Huawei’s big event on October 16 in Munich.
According to rumors, the Mate 10 Lite will be available in blue, black, and gold, for a price of €379 in Europe.
