In recent times, Chinese manufacturing giant, Xiaomi, has released some eye-catching devices such as Xiaomi Mi 6 and Xiaomi Mi 5X. If someone were to ask you which Xiaomi smartphone has the best camera, you will probably consider one of these. However, Xiaomi CEO, ‘Lei Jun’ thinks otherwise as he has chosen Xiaomi Mi Note 3 to have the best camera. Concerning the camera of Xiaomi Mi Note 3, Lei Jun said
So far the best camera Xiaomi phone
Gizchina News of the week
Well, Xiaomi Mi Note 3 is a top-class smartphone considering the fact that it is just behind Xiaomi Mi 6. This smartphone sports a 16MP selfie camera with 2μm large pixel size which supports makeup beauty, sub-regional landscaping strategy, and 3D shaping face-lift while the rear 12MP shooter supports phase detection autofocus, and dual-LED (dual tone) flash.
The Xiaomi Mi Note 3 is powered by a Snapdragon 660 processor which is supported with a 6GB memory and 64GB/128GB ROM. It has a 5.5 inches (Full-HD) 2.5D curved screen and runs the Android 7.1 (Nougat) operating system. Its front and rear are made from glass while its side is forged from a metal alloy. Other features in this device worth noting are its support for NFC, ultrasonic fingerprint reader, and Artificial Intelligent Face Recognization.
Here are some sample images of the Xiaomi Mi Note 3
Of couse he’s wrong, but he has somehow to justify the absurd price, considering that the phone is a downgrade of the former flagship series.
The price isn’t absurd, its running about the same as the Mi6. It does have the SND660 in it which is obvious weaker than the 835 in terms of GPU but that’s really about it. Its ridiculously efficient and is as powerful as a SND 821. The improvement over the MI 6 is essentially it has a slightly larger screen, more power efficient and has OIS in the camera for better video quality. Seeing as its coming in a couple dollars cheaper, I would say that its a pretty good deal. In a world of 1000 dollar Iphones, I’ll take a 450 dollar Note 3. I do miss the curved display from last year though. The Mi Note 2 was a fun phone, the Mi Note 3 is pretty much just a Mi 6 Plus.
its a shame that AMOLED supply issues affected xiaomi too.
My point is that mi note 6, should not launch with flagship pricetag.
Last years mi5s plus is faster, bigger and cheaper. No OIS though.
My point is that a sub 500 price tag isn’t flagship by any stretch. plus the point of the article was about the camera, and its definitely true.
The new flagship series is the Mi Mix 2. Using a SD835 in the Note 3 would have meant the two were competitors for the same customers. That creates a cannibalistic marketplace for one or both of their products.
The Mi Note 3 was created for one main reason, the Oppo R11. The R11 has the same SD660 and sells for around the same price. It is also one of the most popular phones in China (and the world) right now.
Do you have anything to prove him wrong other than your misunderstanding of the Chinese market? Have you actually used the camera?
sony imx386 … mi note 3 , mi max 2 , mi mix 2 , mi6 ….
What makes it the best?
I didn’t say it was the best. I was asking if that person has any proof that isn’t the best. Stating what sensor it uses isn’t proof. The sensor is only one piece of a smartphone camera. There’s also the quality of the lens they used, software, optimization, lens apparatus etc.
