Following series of leaks and rumors, Google has today officially unveiled the Google Home mini – a smaller variant of its Google assistant enabled smart speaker. The Google Mini is a direct take on Amazon’s echo Dot and offers same basic functions as the base Google Home.The Home mini was announced alongside a premium Google Home Max with advanced google AI algorithms.
So what exactly can the Google Home mini do? The device allows you use voice command via Google assistant to stream your favorite music, control your smart home, check your calendar, and search the internet.

Much like the original Google Home, the Google Home Mini has a somewhat plastic base with fabric speakers’ grill. The device has four LED lights directly on top that acts as a LED indicator, and in case you prefer bigger and louder sound, the home mini can be connected connects to any Chromecast Audio speaker.
The Home mini is immediately available for pre-order and will hit the store by October 19th in Coral, Chalk, and Charcoal and will retail for $49.
