All the fuss about the flagship iPhone X will soon be laid to rest with the device set to hit the road on November 3rd but pre-orders will start on Friday, October 27. Moving a step further, the iPhone X has gotten the approval the United States Federal Communications Commission (FCC) which means that the smartphone has scaled through all the essential inspections and its ready to be sold. The FCC approves all radio-transmitting devices prior to sales in the United State to ensure that all devices are safe and operates within FCC’s defined limits.
Apple’s iPhone X product pages have always included the following footnote
“iPhone X has not been authorized as required by the rules of the Federal Communications Commission. This device is not, and may not be, offered for sale or lease, or sold or leased, until authorization is obtained.”

FCC’s approval of three iPhone X models means that Apple can now expunge the footnote. So far, the production of this flagship smartphone is going smoothly with some glitches in the production of the TrueDepth camera which is used for facial recognition and this has reduced iPhone X production yield rate to below 10%. This implies that we might not have a sizeable number of iPhone X this year and even into the early parts of 2018.
This smartphone features a bezel-less edge-to-edge display with OLED screen and it supports wireless charging. Though the premium hardware of this smartphone comes at a cost ($999 for 64GB and $1,149 for 256GB) many believe that Apple already has a very strong user base and this smartphone will get much attention irrespective of its price.
