A new prototype smartphone by LeEco has surfaced, and we have reason to believe it is the LeEco Le 2S. The Le 2S has leaked in pictures before, with a previous leak showing a dual camera setup on the rear, almost a year ago. But this is not the same device as far as we can tell.
From what we can make out, the smartphone is made of metal. On the back lies a single sensor camera setup with LED flash and the Fingerprint scanner right below it. Antenna bands run around the bottom and the top. The front of the phone seems to have fairly thin bezels on the sides with wider ones on the top. The volume and power keys are on the right. On the top, there’s an IR blaster.
Gizchina News of the week
It is no news that LeEco has been facing financial issues leading to zero product launches in the last couple of months. This might explain the delay in the launch of this phone too, since the lock screen on the phone shows the date as, ‘January 19’, giving us reason to believe that it has probably been in development for a lot of time now. There is no news on whether the LeEco Le 2S will see the light of day or not, considering the situation LeEco as a company is in now. Watch this space for more!
Le S3:
– Good build quality
– Very good audio
– Good fingerprint scanner
– Some of the worst battery life I have ever seen in a phone
– Terrible performance for a SD652 phone
– OS is poorly optimized
– RAM management is worse than much heavier UI’s.
– Terrible GPS performance
– Bluetooth will disconnect too often
– Below average display
– LeEco Live was a disaster from day one. It featured B list movies and TV shows you probably never heard of or never wanted to watch.
There are much better phones for the money.
Good that I ignored it. What happened to your honor 8?
I have pro3 US version and found only problems with stock os. lineage os fixes many things.
Max Power has that same phone and has had many of the same issues as me.
I still use it on occasion. I switch my phones every 6 months. My current setup is LG V20 and Moto Z Play (first gen).
I guess, Z Play for battery, V20 for everything else except it.
Z Play is my work/travel phone, V20 is my personal phone. I always have one of each for 6 months. I went through about 4 phones over the past month until I settled on these two.
The Z play has phenomenal battery life, better than the Redmi Note 4 with the same processor and larger battery life. But I also love it for the mods; I love being able to change the look of it with a snap on back (something I haven’t had since the Mi4) and the battery and speaker mods are great when traveling.
