The Vernee MIX 2 is probably one of the better equipped affordable tri-bezel-less devices on the market. The handset does indeed come with a large 6.0-inch FHD+ (2160×1080) display and the power efficient MediaTek Helio P25, among other specs. Well, Vernee just announced that presales kicked off; so, let’s learn a bit more about the phone, shall we?
As you can image, Vernee MIX 2’s main selling point is its design. The smartphone features slim top and side bezels – being clearly inspired by Xiaomi’s Mi MIX. The back of the phone is instead made of glass as opposed to the ceramic present on the Xiaomi handset.
Thanks to its large 6-inch FHD+ display with rounded corners and narrow frame, the MIX 2 reaches a screen ratio of 93.07%, at least on paper. That would be among the highest we’ve ever seen if it were to be confirmed.
The display on the MIX 2 also sports the trendy 18:9 aspect ratio, or how some like to call it – 2:1. This allows the smartphone to feature a bigger display while keeping the smartphone narrower and thus easier to handle.
As we mentioned earlier, the body of the Vernee MIX 2 is composed of a slim metal outer frame and a layer of glass both on the front and back of the device. That means that around 80% of the device is covered with the glossy material.
Gizchina News of the week
In the camera department Vernee’s phone is equipped with a dual 13MP camera setup that use SONY IMX 258 image sensors, with an aperture of F/2.0, a wide-angle lens, a telephoto one and OIS. So, in theory, you can get smooth videos with the wide-angle lens and nice portrait shoots using the camera sporting a telephoto lens.
Under the hood we find the good performing and power efficient MediaTek Helio P25 CPU coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. This hardware combo should provide more than enough raw power to run through most apps, while keeping power consumption low.
Lastly, the Vernee MIX 2 is fueled by a relatively big 4200mAh capacity battery which also supports 9V/2A fast charging technology, so you’ll hardly run out of juice with this phone. In addition to that, the home-baked VOS operative system based on Android 7.0 Nougat has been designed to run as light as possible.
The Vernee MIX 2 can now be pre-ordered for $169.99 over at Gearbest (for the first 3000 units), but if you’re lucky enough to be selected by Vernee you can get the smartphone for as low as $99.99. Click here to learn more.
