The Nubia Z17miniS was unveiled today at an event in Shenzhen, China. The Z17miniS is one of the phones that were slated for launch today.
Design
The Nubia Z17miniS features a metal body with a colour gradient 3D glass with a slight curve on the back. The front of the phone features the signature Nubia red holo which is etched onto the fingerprint scanner. The front has fairly thin bezels on the sides although they are nowhere close to the likes of the other bezel-less phones in the market. The top bezel has the dual camera setup and the bottom bezel has the fingerprint scanner. The back houses the dual camera setup, making the count of cameras on this phone, 4. The Z17miniS measures 147.5 x 71.2 x 7.6mm and has a weight of 155g.

The Nubia Z17miniS sports a 5.2-inch in-cell JDI display which has a resolution of 1080p and comes with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Under the hood lies the Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 chipset coupled with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage.
On the back lies a dual camera setup which is a combination of two Sony IMX258 13MP f/2.2 sensors with PDAF and a dual tone LED flash. The rear cameras employ the monochrome+RGB technique. The front features a dual camera setup too, which is a combination of a 16MP f/2.0 and a 5MP f/2.2 wide angle sensors.
Fueling the Z17miniS is a 3200mAh battery which charges via the USB type C port. Nubia decided to skip the 3.5mm jack on this one. On the other hand, the Z17miniS features Smart PA technology for improved audio quality. On the connectivity side, the phone comes with the usual suite of options, NFC, Bluetooth 4.1, dual band WiFi and a USB type-C port.
The Nubia Z17miniS comes in three colour variants, Black Gold, Deep Blue and Aegean Blue. It will be up for grabs on the 19th of October starting at 10 AM for 1999 Yuan.
