Apple iPhone X is scheduled to launch on October 27 at 3:00 pm and the official pre-sale of this smartphone will commence on November 3. There have been several reports that the production of this smartphone is experiencing some delays due to the complex 3D sensors on its TrueDepth Camera system. Reports also have it that only 10% of the units produced by Apple meets the company standards. Now, this seems to be verified.
According to Xinhua News Agency, supervision yesterday by Zhengzhou Customs shows that only 46,500 units of the new iPhone X shipped out of the Zhengzhou Xinzheng comprehensive bonded area, Xinzheng International Airport and Shanghai Pudong International Airport to the Netherlands and the United Arab Emirates. Although this is only the first installment which should be followed by a second and a third, there is a growing concern about the availability of this smartphone in China considering the fact that a huge chunk of iPhone’s is produced in China.
Gizchina News of the week
Recall that on the 14th of September, Zhengzhou Customs revealed that 902,400 units of iPhone 8 Plus were sent abroad notably to the United States, Britain, the Netherlands, and Italy while 27.81 million units were sold in the domestic market. From this report, iPhone X first installment is nowhere near that of iPhone 8 Plus.
Keji Securities analyst, Guo Ming, earlier said that the difficulties in iPhone X’s production are temporary and they are expected to be resolved in 2018. Let’s hope that Apple can overcome its worse nightmare and if that happens, iPhone X shipments are bound to erupt in the first half of 2018.
“118.05 million units of iPhone 8 Plus were produced and 902,400 units were sent abroad notably to the United States, Britain, the Netherlands, and Italy while 27.81 million units were sold in the domestic market”
I’m not into math, but I think something is wrong
The production value is the full records while the shipments is from first installment. The deficit was subsequently shipped. They cant release all units at once.
This might actually make expecting users give up and purchase other smartphones. iPhone X in trouble
You will be surprise that those apple hardcore fanboys willing to wait for months and even pay at inflated much higher price from third party sellers.
So those who got good connection with apple distributors can earn big bucks from iphone-x. Easily 1 unit they can mark up at least $300 – $500 from the original pricing depend on how low is the stock available on the market.
It is the same as Xiaomi, OnePlus that always run out of stock from their official online shop but somehow all those china online re-seller always got HUGE AMOUNT of stocks available that they can sell with pretty good profit margin.
The iPhone X will already have its buyers prepared. It doesn’t really matter when it launches, there will always be a large bunch of people who will buy the latest iPhone regardless.
