OnePlus 5, the young Chinese company’s newest phone (which might not hold true for too much longer) is on its way to get Android O.
The news comes courtesy Carl Pei, co-founder of OnePlus. The company recently found itself in the middle of a bit of a tangle that had to do with analytics collection. Users accused the company of making a feature that should’ve been an opt-in mandatory, which didn’t go too well with many others.

An apology came through the OnePlus forums a while later.
In related news, Pei also said that the OnePlus 5 turned out to be ‘more popular than expected’. If you’ve been following the news lately, you will know that the OnePlus 5 is purportedly nearing the end of life, at least sales-wise. You can read more about it here.
