The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 is one of the most talked about devices in the last few days. It has been popping up in leaks and just yesterday we received a report of it getting 3C certification. It has now popped up on TENAA, indicating an imminent launch on or before the 11th of November as speculated by previous reports.
Gizchina News of the week
As speculated, the Redmi Note 5 does sport a display that has an 18:9 aspect resolution, putting it in the league of the bezel-less smartphones that have been dominating the market recently. The phone has an all-metal body with fairly big chins as compared to other bezel-less phones. There is a single camera setup on the back which is surprising since all the rumors have indicated towards a device with a dual camera setup. Below the camera lies the fingerprint scanner. There is a possibility that this might even be the Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus, another phone that Xiaomi plans to unveil. The smartphones listed on TENAA have the model numbers MET7 and MEE7, so this image can either be of the Redmi Note 5 or the Redmi 5 Plus.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 is speculated to sport the Qualcomm Snapdragon 630, whereas the Redmi 5 Plus is expected to sport the Snapdragon 450 chipset. BIth the phones are expected to sport 18:9 displays and are expected to launch anywhere around the 1th of NOvember.
