Xiaomi pioneered the bezel-less trend about a year ago and has even announced a refresh of its first bezel-free phone. While that class of Xiaomi phones comes with huge price tags, it appears Xiaomi is about pacifying users of its budget Redmi Note series with what looks like a bezel-free phone- the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5.
A Xiaomi phone with model number MET7/MEE7, which industry source says could be the Redmi Note 5 has just shown its face on TENAA revealing photos as well as complete specifications of the phone.
It is encased in a unibody metal design with a rear fingerprint sensor and a single rear camera. The Redmi Note 5 obviously is not an entirely bezel-less device, it still has a generous amount of bezels on the chin, top and even left and right. However, the phone has a high screen-to-body ratio which makes it a full-screen model.
Gizchina News of the week

A 4GB RAM+ 64GB storage variant is reportedly also in the making.
The device will boot Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box, while a single 12MP rear camera with dual-tone LED Flash and a single 5MP front-facing camera will be in charge of photography.
Xiaomi is yet to confirm a possible launch date, release date, or price, but a launch date could be fast approaching now that it has been approved by TENAA.
So its stops or spots by TENAA???
I dont mind that camera bump as long as it has OIS onboard, if not, I think Xiaomi tries really hard to dissapoint us. They really need to step up their game, make their devices a little bit more expensive but put some great hardware in them. Like an AMOLED display, stereo speakers, newest CPUs, less bezells, just what OnePlus did.
oneplus costs 500$
Redmi Note costs 180$ ??
they got the mi6/mi mix 2 to compete with oneplus
and since they have different devices lines for different consumer they probably want to stay at the 999 yuan price for china….
Im not comparing devices but company approach to their devices :I Im just saying that i wouldnt mind getting something better than refresh for a little bigger price.
