Google Pixel 2 users report clicking and high pitch sound issues

To say that the Google Pixel 2 is a popular device is an understatement. It’s one of the most popular devices at the moment, even next to other flagships like the Apple iPhone X and Galaxy S8. Unfortunately, the device seems to be plagued by a multitude of problems, with every week revealing a new issue.

This week, we’ve got a couple of new audio related issues. The first of these problems are that the Pixel 2s are emitting high pitched noises when next to someone’s ear. The other problem is a similar audio problem, though instead of high-pitched noises, we’ve got clicking from the in-ear speaker.

Switching off NFC apparently helps with the clicking issue, but the high-pitched sounds remain. One Google staff member did note, however, that this would be addressed in a patch coming up next week. Whether that patch will actually arrive next week remains to be seen. For any updates, stay tuned on Gizchina.com.
