Xiaomi’s Mijia or Mi Home products are a bunch of devices that fit into what’s called the Xiaomi ecosystem. Devices in this ecosystem should be able to seamlessly bounce off each other in a household to allow an easier time with life. One of these devices is the new Mijia Bedside Lamp.
Well, we say new, but it’s really identical to their previous Mi Home lamp, the Yeelight Bedside Lamp. Everything from the design to the functionality appears to be the exact same with the small difference of the new lamp weighing 284g instead of the original’s 280g.
Gizchina News of the week
Really, both of these devices seem to be the same device. The logo has been changed, but both lamps still respond to the Mi Band. The most surprising part is that the Yeelight Lamp is still being sold at Mi Home stores. The lamp comes with OSRAM LEDs with up to 16 million different colors and the power rating is still 10W.
Whatever Xiaomi’s reason for this is, we’re still excited to see an underrated gadget get some new life. The device will be available at Mi Home stores around China and the device’s price is 249 yuan, which is roughly $38.
