Following weeks of intense teasing and leaks, the Oppo F5 has now been announced in the Philippines. The device will ship on November 4th, while you will be able to pre-order the device in the Philippines from October 27 – for 15,990 PHP (around €263).The Oppo F5 is tipped to land India on November 2nd.
The Oppo F5, much like the F3 is targeted at selfie-centric users. It has dropped the dual front-facing camera for a single 20-megapixel front-facing camera with A.I. beauty recognition technology that scans 200 facial recognition spots to beautify a selfie shot perfectly and also offers bokeh effect. Oppo claims the A.I Technology is capable of detecting person’s age, sex, and even race, so it can decide on the best beauty settings for your selfie.

The device adopts a unibody metal design with a single rear camera and a rear fingerprint sensor, and in case you are not comfortable with the fingerprint scanner placement, the Oppo F5 also comes with a facial recognition unlock feature so you will always have an alternative to the fingerprint scanner.
On the specs front, the Oppo F5 flaunts a nearly bezel-less 6-inch full HD+ 18:9 full-screen display and powered by a MediaTek MT6763T processor coupled with either 4GB RAM + 32GB storage option or a 6GB RAM+ 64GB storage option. There is also room for memory expansion up to 256GB using microSD.
Other specs include a 3200mAh non-removable battery, a 16MP rear camera with LED flash, f/1.8 aperture, and dual SIM support. The device boots Android 7.1 (Nougat) with ColorOS 3.2 out of the box and comes with full set of connectivity options including 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS.
Color options include Gold, Black, and Red colors.
