HMD Global has today announced the availability of new variant of the Nokia 5 in the Indian Market. Dubbed the Nokia 5 with 3GB RAM, the new entrant is same Nokia 5 that was introduced back in earlier this year but now comes with more RAM size of 3GB.
HMD Global’s Vice President in charge of India in a press statement said the “Nokia 5 has already forged a reputation for being a beautifully crafted phone which punches well above its weight.” “Now we have added more memory so fans can get enhanced performance in the same precision engineered design.”
The Nokia 5 with 3GB sees a steep rise in price compared to the regular 2GB RAM variant. The device is priced at Rs 15,299 (around $236), which is nearly Rs 6,000 more than the Rs 9,500 price of the 2GB RAM variant. With Flipkart holding the exclusive right to sell the device in India for a week, starting from Nov 7-Nov 14th, the online retailer alongside other launch time offers is offering the device at a discounted launch price of Rs 13,499 (around $210).
The device is available only in Matte Black and Tempered Blue color options and will be available in select retail outlets in the country from November 14 onwards.
With a 5.2″ display and aluminum shell, the Nokia 5 is quite smaller than the Nokia 6. It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 430 processor with 16GB of storage.
