The forthcoming cheap full-screen phone of the Chinese Apple known as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 has appeared on TENAA for a while. But since that leak, we haven’t seen anything new concerning this device. Today Slashleaks published a photo with an alleged Redmi Note 5. However, many think this is not the aforementioned phone but another model from the Redmi family, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Plus.
Gizchina News of the week
I guess no one doubts there will be up to three Xiaomi full-screen phones launched before the end of 2017. They include the Xiaomi Redmi 5, Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Plus. The former one should come with a 5.5-inch screen (or 5.7-inch screen) with a 720p resolution, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of ROM, and Snapdragon 450 chip. The Redmi 5 is thought to be priced at 799 yuan ($120). The second model is said to sport a 5.73-inch 18: 9 screen, Snapdragon 636 processor, and 13MP rear camera. The supposed price tag is 1399 yuan ($211). And finally, the third phone is rumored to come with a 5.99-inch screen with a 2160 × 1080 resolution, 3/4+32GB memory option, Snapdragon 625 chip, 5MP shooter on the front, and 12MP camera on the back. It is going to cost 999 yuan ($150).

The spotted photo makes us think the phone’s display is about 6 inches. There is no home button on the front. It is flat, but with rounded corners. And though we have no idea whether we are dealing with the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 or its enhanced variant, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Plus, the leaked phone looks quite attractive. So there is every chance to become a bestseller and help the company reach 90 million shipped units’ border in 2017.
