Rapidly growing action cam and wearables maker MGCOOL is said to be bringing a real game changer in the pocketable camera world. They’re indeed working on a new camera that can record 4K footage natively and according to them will beat the competition at it. Let’s learn more about it!
The camera will be named MGCOOL Explorer 3 and as we just mentioned will be able to shoot 4k videos at 30fps. Scaling down to 1080p we’ll get 60fps, and then 720p at 120fps. The Explorer 3 will be powered by an iCatch V50 SoC and a Panasonic 34112 image sensor that will be able to record videos with the new H.264+ codec.

On the back of the camera we find a 2.0-inch touch screen, meanwhile on the front we find a 7 layers glass sharp lens with an ultra-wide 170-degree viewing angle. Plus we’ll also get EIS and a gyroscope to further stabilize videos.
The Explorer 3 will feature various shooting modes, such as slow-mo, time-lapse and burst photos. It comes with a large 1100mAh capacity battery for 120 mins of 1080p video recording and it can be taken 30 meters under water with the included waterproof case.
