The Nokia 2, HMD Global’s most basic Android smartphone till date was announced back in October in India and has since been available for purchase in South Africa, Russia, and the USA at various price points. Now after days of waiting, the device is now available for purchase in the India Market.
In collaboration with Reliance Jio, HMD is offering buyers an additional 45GB 4G Data on Nokia 2 in the form of 5GB 4G data on every recharge of Rs. 309 or above, limited to nine recharges until August 31, 2018.

HMD Global is also offering additional complimentary 12-month accidental damage insurance plan launch offer by Servify on opening a Kotak 811 savings account and activating it with an initial deposit of Rs. 1,000 in the introductory period.
The device will go on sale in India on Friday, November 24 in Pewter Black, Pewter White and Copper Black color options and is priced at Rs. 6,999./ $108.
At that price point, the Nokia 2 will have to compete fiercely with the duo of Xiaomi Redmi 4 and Redmi 4A. With a price tag of Rs 8,499, the Redmi 4 offers more RAM, more storage, and more capable Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 octa-core processor, while the Redmi 4A with SD 425 SoC coupled with 2GB of RAM, 16 and 3,120mAh battery goes for same Rs. 6,999./ $108.
