Xiaomi

There’s no week on GizChina without some sweet Xiaomi rumors. The latest of which are about the upcoming Xiaomi R1, allegedly a budget-friendly device with the trendy full screen 18:9 display aspect ratio. This device should not be the – also rumored – Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 (Plus) which we’ve seen a few days earlier over here. So hopefully we’re getting two “full screen” smartphones at their next launch event, entering different price segments. Not only good news from Xiaomi though, the company has indeed just announced the list of phones that aren’t getting the latest MIUI 9; check the article here to learn more.

Meizu

More rumors also come from Xiaomi’s alter ego – Meizu. The Chinese phone maker is also working on a “full screen” device that comes with the name code M1712Q; click here to check it out. Meizu seem to have dropped the rear display design they had equipped their latest flagship with, instead we’re probably going to see a full metal back.

Honor

We have interesting news coming from Honor. Huawei’s daughter company seem to be working on a more true to the name full screen phone, check the article here to find out more. During same day we also had a look at what’s most likely going to be the Honor V10, click here to see that.

Tesla

Apparently, Elon Musk and his company – Tesla – can never rest and, after announcing a semi truck, a roadster supercar, a $45 power bank and a desktop supercharger, they’re now allegedly working on developing a smartphone. That would be amazing news, as who knows what Tesla can bring to the table for us phone geeks; I guess all we can do now is wait and hope!
