2018 is upon us, and you know what that means we would be seeing flagships from Samsung, LG, Sony, and others. Like we have had in the past, speculated specs and rumored designs are all part of the prerelease Hype. One of such device expected to debut later in 2018 is the LG G7, the device has been rumored to launch about the same time Samsung will unveil its Galaxy S9 lineup.
While the LG G7 hasn’t made much of appearance at the rumor mills, Concept maker, DBS Designing has put together a concept video detailing what the LG G7 looks like and what we should expect from the device in terms of internal makeup.
In the video, the unreleased LG G is seen to have been revamped in terms of designs, the device highlights a larger screen, with extremely thin bezels on both sides, as well as thin bezels on the top and lower chin. According to the video, the device will retain the 3.5mm audio jack and will come with the water-resistant body.

In the video, a USB Type-C charging port is very much visible at the bottom along with the speaker grille and the 3.5mm headphone jack. The concept also shows off two pairs of cameras – an 8-megapixel + 8-megapixel front-facing camera and a pair of 16-megapixel + 16-megapixel rear cameras. Unlike the Galaxy S9 which has long been rumored to come with a rear fingerprint sensor, the concept video reveal that the G7 might come with an under display fingerprint sensor, however, words flying around suggest the in-display scanner might not come with the G7, as it is reportedly still under development.
The concept creator shows the G7 featuring a 5.8-inch 18:9 display with QHD+ resolution. The designer is at the moment not certain of what chipset the G7 will use, it did mention that there will be 6GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage. Previous rumors point to the G7 coming with same Galaxy S9 chipset- the SD 845 with LG’s own AI assistant. No mention of the Android OS used, we expect to see Android Oreo, while it will be powered a 3,500mAh battery that is coupled with fast charging feature.
As much as this render looks impressive, the final G7 product might be different very different.
