In what would seem a very straight forward press release to confirm the presence of a feature that a large majority of people always claim to need, Elephone just revealed something that is probably more interesting. Let’s learn more about it, shall we?
As you may have already read in the title, Elephone confirmed that their upcoming flagship phone will be featuring the neat NFC chip. The company says this is a great addition for those who prefer to use their smartphone instead of a bus or metro card. NFC can also be used as a method of payment in stores where the technology is supported, allowing you to go out without a wallet if you really wanted to.
Let’s now get to the second important detail revealed by Elephone in their statement. That is the existence of an Elephone S9 Pro, probably coming soon after the launch of the plain S9. That’s great news for those who were already liking the latter, which is said to come with a Qualcomm CPU and an edge-less Samsung S8-style design.
Gizchina News of the week
At the moment, we can only theorize that the S9 Pro will feature more powerful hardware, possibly more RAM and storage or a bigger display (?), in addition to the already confirmed NFC chip. Elephone seem to be in the right path this time around. Do you guys agree? Let us know down below!

Looks good, just need a real hands on review before id get too excited though! How are elephone these days? any good?
This is the phone im most hyped about this year. And im worried they not gona deliver all the promises, or worse, it will be sold at not that tempting price (for me its more than 300$). Oh well, il keep my fingers crossed until official full unveiling of this phone.
you really think they can deliver on all this hype at a sub $300 price point? REALLY?
I love being naive when it comes to pricing of something i really want before it comes out haha. But yeah, considering they confirmed there are 2 versions of S9, one of them must have reasonable price. That’s what i like to believe
Something is going to suffer. More than likely it will be build quality and camera. I don’t want a beautiful phone with a garbage camera
Im definitely worried about camera and software overall. I think they are already experienced enough to deliver fine build quality.
they use a pretty stock version of android so I’m not worried about the software experience, plus…Nova Launcher exists for a reason. They say they are working with companies to build the best camera optimization that they can. But you can’t possibly have a 2k screen, Snapdragon(I hope they go with 660), decent battery, great camera optics, and a decently optimized software experience under $300. Also add into that its probably gonna go with a 6GB 128GB variant somewhere in there. If its anything like the Smartisan Nut Pro 2, the regular variant can be had extremely cheap 4GB 32GB under $250 but once you get to the higher storage and memory it shoots up in price near $400 so that could be an option as well.
look at the price of the Honor 7X.
Huawei can do that because they are one of the top 3 phone manufacturers in the world. The entire process is done in house. They don’t have to outsource the chipset from mediatek or Qualcomm… they can do as they please with the pricing.
