MIUI is Xiaomi’s own user interface which is based on Android and it is the first product made by Xiaomi. It comes with a high-quality UI, customized themes, and numerous features. These features and abilities make it one of the most desirable operating systems. At the Mi Max launch mid last year, Xiaomi’s CEO, Lei Jun revealed that MIUI had over 200 million active users globally. Just over a year down the line, the statistics seem to have changed rapidly. At the World Internet Conference held in Wuzhen, Lei Jun stated that at the moment, MIUI has over 300 million active users worldwide which is an extraordinary accomplishment considering the age of the company.

MIUI 9 is the current version and it comes with the slogan “lightning fast” because it aims to provide a better operability with regards to stability, smoothness, power conservation, and other features. As of now, MIUI 9 global stable ROM has arrived Xiaomi Mi Max 2, Mi MIX 2, Mi 6, Mi 5, Mi 5s Plus, Mi Note 3, Redmi Note 4, Redmi Note 4X, Redmi 4 and Redmi 4X. Also scheduled to come with MIUI 9 is Xiaomi’s first 18:9 full-screen device in the Redmi series – Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus which will be released on the 7th of December.
