Gizchina News of the week
The pre-order pages on AliExpress reveal that both Redmi 5 and 5 plus will be available in Black, Blue, Pink and Gold color variants, and contrary to previous rumors, both devices will cost more than the rumored price. The Redmi 5 is listed with 16GB ROM and will retail for $199, while the Redmi 5 plus with 32GB ROM will go for a $249.
Aside from price and ROM option, no other detail has been confirmed by the listing. The Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus, when announced, will both take the place of the Redmi 4 which were announced last year. A major highlight of these devices is that they are expected to come with minimal bezels and an 18:9 display instead of the 16:9 display that we saw in the Redmi 4.
The pricing, while realistic, is unofficial. Readers should beware that actual pricing may differ a bit from the leaked prices.
