A few days back we learned about the HTC Ocean Harmony that had leaked in spy photos. Though the spotted photo didn’t reveal any information about the model and launch date, many people started speculations concerning the new flagship of the Taiwanese smartphone maker. But today a popular leakster, Evan Blass tweeted about this phone and mix all plans. Most likely, the new flagship will be called the HTC U11 EYEs.
Years back the company launched a seflie-centric smartphone named the HTC Desire Eye, which came with a massive front shooter. As for now, the source claims the HTC Ocean Harmony that has already passed through FCC and is being prepared for the December launch will carry another name. That’s not a secret, the most popular and beloved series of HTC is U line. So the assumptions as the HTC Ocean Harmony will be renamed to the HTC U11 EYEs sound quite logical. But what does this mean and why HTC is going to use this brand?
Gizchina News of the week
According to the previous leaks, the HTC U11 EYEs (aka HTC Ocean Harmony) will come with a 5.99-inch 18:9 aspect ratio display that providing FHD+ resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. Apart from this, it will be packed with a Snapdragon 652 or 660 chips paired with a 4/6GB of RAM and 64/128GB of storages. But what’s amazing the front shooter should use a dual-camera setup with 5+5MP sensors. A 12MP OIS camera should be on the back. At last, the battery capacity is said to be 3930mAh.
As for pricing, the HTC U11 EYEs may cost 2599 Yuan ($395) and 3599 Yuan ($545) for the lower and higher variants, respectively.
So it turns out if this rumor is true HTC will use the EYE brand to emphasize the selfie-focused nature of this phone. In this sense, the renaming is quite reasonable.
