Samsung Galaxy A8 2018 could debut at CES 2018 along with LG K10

Samsung’s Galaxy A8 2018 has leaked like anything in the past few weeks. And to top it all, we even got an unofficial hands-on look at the upcoming A series in a video. But traditionally Samsung has stuck to launching the series in January. One would think, after so much divulged info, Samsung would just get on with it. However, a new report from ETNews suggests that Samsung might stick to its old launch cycle. According to the report, Samsung will launch the Galaxy A8 2018 at CES in January. But that’s not all. Samsung won’t have the CES limelight all to itself. The report also adds LG will also be there to launch a new K10 smartphone.

Gizchina News of the week

There isn’t much that has not been revealed in leaks about the A8 2018 duo. The fresh unboxing leak talks of an Exynos 7885 chipset paired with 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage for both handsets. Battery capacity differs with the smaller phone sporting a 3,000 mAh battery while the bigger one sports a 3,500 mAh battery. The A series phones will also come with Bixby albeit Bixby Voice will not be present apparently as there’s no dedicated button. Needless to say, both phones sport an Infinity Display that still has sizeable bezels on the top and bottom.

LG’s K series is a more affordable range of phones compared to Samsung’s A series. According to ETNews, it will sport a 5.3-inch display and 3 GB of RAM. For extras, it will be getting LG’s mobile payments and FM Radio.

On the other hand, more info is piling up that suggests the Samsung Galaxy S9 will not be a show stopper at the CES 2018 show. Instead, most of the big boys including Sony and Huawei are expected to showcase their latest flagships at MWC 2018.
